Brews & Barres

Original Music, Beer, Italian Greyhounds

Deviant Dale’s IPA, Oskar Blues Brewery Lyons,CO: I’ve been waiting for this one for awhile. I dig the bad ass can and four tall boys at 8%abv for thirteen bucks is a steal. And the beer? It’s fantastic. A very seductive ruby tangerine color with a resilient bone white head. There is a surprising amount of maltiness on the nose and good bit of citrus and tropical fruits. The sweetness mingles with the tropical fruitiness and creates an almost caramel apple taste character. It gets pretty boozy as it warms, with a sticky mouth-feel and a bitter, piny finish. Definitely one for the regular rotation. Another world class beer from one of the best breweries around.
